The lowest-income countries have the lowest university completion rates, and men are more likely than women to profit from these limited options. But, countless studies show that when you empower girls and women, you strengthen entire communities.
Dedicated to advancing the educational opportunities of women in low-income communities, JAAGO Foundation, funded by U-Go, will provide JAAGO Foundation Women Scholarship 2023 (JWS).
In celebration of International Women’s Day, these scholarships worth BDT 100,000-250,000 will be provided to 160 female students from public universities. The scholarship amount will be disbursed monthly.
What are the requirements for the JAAGO Foundation Women scholarship 2023 ?
- Age must be between 18 to 23 years
- The applicant must be a Bangladeshi female citizen
- Applicant must have a strong academic record in the SSC and HSC (minimum GPA of 4.50)
- Applicants must be enrolled in the 1st semester of a Bachelor’s degree at a Public University in Bangladesh.
- Applicants should have leadership ability (e.g. participation in community service, co-curricular activities etc.)
- Any other scholarships must not be received from any other sources at the time of application and during the study.
What Documents Would I Need for a Successful JAAGO Women Scholarship Application?

1. Completed scholarship application form
Carefully check and accurately fill in all the sections of the application form correctly
2. Copy of NID/ Birth Certificate
Please attach your valid National ID or Birth Certificate.
3. Copies of Certificates (SSC/ Dakhil/ Equivalent degree
Attach the certificates from SSC/ Dakhil/ Equivalent degree. This document should have an official signature and stamp from your school or faculty.
4. Copies of Certificates (HSC/ Alim/ Equivalent degree)
Attach the certificates from HSC/ Alim/ Equivalent degree. This document should have an official signature and stamp from your school or faculty.
5. Proof of University Admission
Attach any proof of your University Admission to confirm that you are enrolled in a public university in 1st year.
6. Academic Reference Letter
The Academic Reference Letter should only come from one of your teachers/lecturers. This letter gives the scholarship provider more information about your qualities, skills, intellectual capacity and it can also reflect your desire or motivation for the scholarship.

7. Income Documents of Your Parents
Your parent’s financial information is needed to apply for the scholarship. If service holder, employer statement of most recent salary & other benefits/salary slip/Chairman or Ward Councillor Certificate.
8. Passport Size Picture
Please ensure that you have uploaded the correct photograph of yours when filling in the online application. The scholarship committee will reject any application if any inappropriate photo is uploaded.

Final tips before you send all the documents for the scholarship application
- Check your application form and all other documents for spelling and grammar errors before you send it while making sure you don’t exceed the word limit given for any section of the application, or for any other documents you may be requested to write.
