It is learned that nine General Education Boards have been asked to publish
scholarship gazettes by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education by next Thursday (March 16).
Generally not all the boards can release the scholarship gazette on the official scheduled days.
It is expected that soon the boards will gazette the students for the scholarship.

It is known that 434 students of Dhaka Board who passed HSC in 2022 will be
given merit scholarship and 2 thousand 798 students will be given general scholarship.
Besides, 50 students of Mymensingh Board got merit scholarship and 570 students got general scholarship,
152 students of Rajshahi Board got merit scholarship and 1 thousand 197 students
got general scholarship, 104 students of Comilla Board got merit scholarship and 902 students got general scholarship and

Besides, 51 students of Barisal Board were awarded merit scholarship and 616
students were awarded general scholarship, 130 students of Jessore
Board were awarded merit scholarship and 956 students were awarded general
scholarship, 88 students of Chittagong Board were awarded merit scholarship and 827 students were awarded general
scholarship and 82 students of Dinajpur Board were awarded merit scholarship and 892 students were awarded general scholarship.

It is known that students who get merit scholarship in HSC will be given 825 taka
monthly and 1 thousand 800 taka per year. And general scholarship recipients will be given 375 taka per month and 750 taka
once a year. The scholarship money will be disbursed from the merit scholarship sector of the revenue budget in the fiscal year 2022-2023.
Scholarship money will be sent to students’ bank account through EFT in GTUP system.
For this, students who have received scholarships must be told to open an
account in any listed bank with online facility and submit the bank account number and other information to the
educational institution within seven days of admission to the higher class. The education department has asked the nine
general education boards to publish the gazettes with the list of scholarship recipients by next Thursday (March 16).
